Students, faculty explore int’l opportunities in TraVerSE Abroad info sessions

Over 950 students and faculty from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University participated in a series of information sessions on international opportunities, held from November 26 to 29, 2024, through the TraVerSE Abroud Program conducted by the Center for Internationalization and External Relations.

The info-sessions, conducted across all CHMSU campuses in Alijis, Fortune Towne, Binalbagan, and Talisay, aimed to expose students to global opportunities in line with the observance of International Education Month.

The TraVerSE Abroad Program – Train (internship or training); Volunteer (volunteering or service learning); Study (academic) and Exchange (cultural) – is the university’s program on internationalization and global mobility implemented by CIER.

Resource speakers from reputable organizations such as UNO Immigration Services, Ltd. Co., S & L Visa Exchange Solutions, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative, and IDP Education presented various cultural immersion, and study and work abroad programs.

By participating in these programs, students can gain valuable international experience, enhance their cultural competence, expand their social networks, and broaden their horizons.

The initiative is part of CHMSU’s commitment to providing its students with a global perspective and equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in the international setting. (by Krizza Dia Jocame)
