College of Industrial Technology extension programs, proposals undergo in-house review

The College of Industrial Technology underwent the 2nd Quarter Extension and Community Services in-house review for its two terminal reports and three proposed programs, May 9, 2025 at the Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Center, Talisay Campus.

Vice President for Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property Andrew Eusebio Tan and CIT Dean Angelie Lopez welcomed the panelists, presenters, and guests to the review.

Joining the panel were Assoc. Prof. Antonio Cinco Jr. of Cebu Technological University, ECS Director Roger Ray Manzano, Dean Lopez, and Prof. Reynor Ereje.

ICT Director Engr. Russel dela Torre presented the terminal report on the Adopt a Community Program: Skills and Livelihood Training for Brgy. Guimbala-on in Silay City. 

Meanwhile, the terminal report Adopt a Community Program: Skills and Livelihood Training for Brgy. Alicante in the Municipality of E.B. Magalona was presented by Prof. Ruby mae Bermejo.

The terminal report presentation was followed by three program proposal pitches, which sought ot improve the programs as well as secure support and resources for the implementation.

Prof. Maricel Daradar presented the proposal on the Academic Community Support Program: Skills Training Initiative for the Department of Education teachers for elementary and secondary schools in the City of Talisay.

The proposed program will utilize the multi-purpose drawing template for drawing-related activities.

In Empowering Communities: Skills and Livelihood Development for Sustainable Growth in Brgy. Gawahon, Victorias City, CIT Extension Coordinator Rachel Badiana presented the program, which will be in collaboration with the International Oneness Apostolic Churches of Jesus Christ, Inc. (IOACJCI).

Lastly, Prof. Jonah Tarrosa presented the Adopt a Community Program: Skills and Livelihood Training for Brgy. Matab-ang, Talisay City.

Also present during the presentation were proponents and participants – Prof. Joven Tuburan, Prof. Maria Genessa Zapanta, Prof. Sally Cadiz, Prof. Lylanie Rivera, Prof. Nikki Ronquillo, Prof. Perseus Bravo, Prof. Ronnie Iwayan, Alumni Relations Melanie Porquez, Connie Camalon, Analyn Romatico, and Brgy. Matab-ang Punong Barangay Manuel Apellido.
