After years of dedication and perseverance, the graduating class from the undergraduate and graduate programs of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) is set to proudly march in the Commencement Exercises on June 18, 20, and 21, 2025.
The commencement exercises on June 18 will be held at SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, with the candidates for graduation from the Alijis, Fortune Towne, and Talisay (Main) Campuses, according to the Office of the University Registrar.
The morning ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will include the candidates for graduation from the College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA), College of Engineering (CoE), and College of Industrial Technology (CIT).
Meanwhile, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Computer Studies (CCS), and College of Education (CoEd) students are set to graduate with their degrees in the afternoon ceremony, with the processional starting at 1:30 p.m.
Bacolod City Lone District Rep. and mayor-elect Greg Gasataya, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director-General Jose Francisco Benitez, former Negros Occidental 3rd District Rep., will serve as the keynote speakers for the commencement exercises on June 18.
On June 20, students of the CBMA, CCS, CoEd, College of Criminal Justice (CCJ), and College of Fisheries (CoF) will graduate at the Municipality of Binalbagan Multipurpose Gym, with the processional beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Himamaylan City Vice Mayor Justin Gatuslao will inspire the graduating CHMSUans in his keynote speech.
The graduating class of the Advanced Education Programs will be conferred their degrees on June 21 at the Multipurpose Gym, CHMSU Talisay Campus.
The rites, which will begin at 2:00 p.m., will feature commencement speaker Marie Therese Jochico, former Vice President for Academic Affairs of the University of St. La Salle, consultant for Bacolod Tay Tung High School, and trustee of St. Benilde School in Bacolod City.
