The inaugural officers of the Extension Managers’ Council – Negros Island Region, Inc. (EMC-NIR) took their oath before CHMSU President Norberto Mangulabnan this afternoon at the Talisay (Main) Campus.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with a two-day series of activities, including the council’s third organizational meeting and workshop.
The EMC-NIR is composed of SUCs and LUCs in the region: Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, Negros Oriental State University, Siquijor State College, State University of Northern Negros, Central Philippines State University, Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas, Philippine Normal University-Visayas, La Carlota City College, Bacolod City College, Colegio de La Castellana, and Bago City College.
The pioneer set of officers includes Chairperson Roger Ray Manzano (CHMSU), Vice Chairperson Guilbert Nicanor Atillo (NORSU), Philna Palongpalong (SCC), Secretary Vanessa Cayacay (SUNN), Treasurer Limuel Solomon Jr. (LCCC), Business Manager Jimmy Degillo (CPSU), and Public Information Officers Engr. Jovel Young (TUP-V) and Paul Magbanua (PNU-V).
Serving as members of the Board of Directors are Mary Jane Alunan (Bacolod CC), Zherry Antoinette Jacela (CDLC), and Daniel Sanchez (Bago CC).
