All CHMSuans are enjoined to actively participate in the University-wide Earthquake Drill to be held on October 24, 2025 in the Binalbagan, Fortune Towne, and Talisay (Main) Campuses, and Alijis Campus on October 28 at 8:30 AM.
Please take note of the following responsibilities of key persons during the drill:
Faculty Members
Lead the students in performing the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure during the initial shaking simulation.
Ensure that all students remain calm and follow safety procedures.
After the shaking stops, guide students to the designated evacuation area using the safest exit route.
Conduct a headcount and report the attendance and safety status of their class to the assigned Security or Floor Marshal.
Non-Teaching Staff
Secure all office documents, equipment, and power sources before proceeding to the evacuation area.
Follow the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and assist others who may need support.
Coordinate with the faculty and floor marshals to ensure safe and orderly evacuation of all personnel.
Security and Floor Marshals
Supervise the evacuation process in their assigned areas.
Ensure that all rooms and facilities are cleared.
Coordinate with the DRRM response teams for reports on missing or injured individuals.
Everyone is reminded that no one should leave the campus during the drill until the “All Clear” signal is given by the DRRM Office. Your full cooperation and active participation are highly encouraged to ensure the success of this safety initiative.
