The Gender and Development Office conducts an online forum in observance of 18-Day campaign to end violence against women on November 18, 2023 via Zoom and Facebook Live.
The day kicked off with an enlightening morning session titled “HIV and AIDS Awareness, Prevention, and Management for Freshmen with resource speaker, Dr. Carina H. Frayco, FPCP, FPSMID. The session aimed to dispel misconceptions surrounding HIV and AIDS while providing crucial insights into prevention strategies and effective management approaches.
The afternoon session brought forth another critical topic with the webinar on The Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) and Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004 for faculty, staff, and students, with Resource Speaker, Prosecutor June Ann Q. Bernal-Sevilla. This session was designed for faculty, staff, and students, recognizing the collective responsibility in creating and maintaining safe environments within the academic setting.
Both sessions were met with active participation from students, faculty, and staff.
