American Concrete Institute Philippines (ACIP) CHMSU Talisay Student Chapter launched its third founding anniversary celebration “LegACI 2022” on December 10, 2022 with a webinar entitled “A Civil Engineering Student’s Guide to Concrete Research” via Zoom and Facebook Live. This was the first of the CEnspired webinar series in the line-up of activities scheduled until December 17, 2022.
The webinar featured two resource speakers. Engr. Angelica Anne F. Munar, MIB, MIM tackled trends and economical innovations in the construction industry, while Engr. Kimuel V. Suyat discussed retrofitting techniques for concrete structures.
In his closing remarks, ACIP CHMSU-Talisay Student Chapter Adviser Engr. Kaj Neil E. Ta-ala, emphasized the importance of research on concrete due to its popularity and numerous uses in the field of construction. “May this inspire you to pursue a deeper understanding of concrete-related topics, and may it drive you to have a passion for research in general,” he said.
The event had more than 100 participants from CHMSU Talisay Campus, University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Fellowship Baptist College, and Mapua University.
