Kenth Cyrel Desamparado, Ahron Lachica, and Ellen Banay received Php 7,000 after pitching their business idea Transforming Waste Into Sustainable Innovation which highlighted sustainability practices in the university that can also be a source of livelihood.

“The main objective of the output is to showcase how CHMSU integrates sustainability into its core practices,” said Desamparado.

At CHMU Talisay (Main) Campus, the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) transforms waste into eco-friendly products through various initiatives by students, faculty, and staff.

“Creating this business pitch taught us that sustainability is achievable through innovation, creativity, and teamwork,” added Desamparado.
