The sub-office for Negros Occidental of the Commission on Higher Education – Region VI was opened with a mass and blessing on September 15, 2023 in the main campus of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University.
The former Techno Bazaar building was offered by CHMSU to CHED to make its sub-office in the province which will provide the following services: CHED service center in Negros Occidental and other administrative purposes.
The opening ceremony was led by Raul C. Alvarez, Jr., EdD, CHEDRO VI Regional Director and the sub-office staff with the following officials in attendance: CHMSU President Norberto P. Mangulabnan, PhD, Nordy D. Siason, PhD, President of Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology, Lilian Diana B. Parreño, PhD, President of Guimaras State University, Renante A. Egcas, PhD, President of Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology, and Rev. Fr. Joel Alve, OAR, President of University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos.
The mass and blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Eugene Lucerna II, PhD, President of Kabankalan Catholic College.
