Two directors from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) represented the institution at the Global Sustainable Development Congress held in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 10 to 13, 2024.
Rhoderick Samonte, Director for Internationalization and External Relations, and Maria Victoria Violanda, Director for Student Affairs, joined over 3,000 global thought leaders and innovators in the four-day event focused on advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The congress was co-hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and convened by Times Higher Education. It featured high-level discussions aimed at developing urgent and practical solutions to the global sustainability crisis.
