The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University joined the National Disaster Resilience Month 2025 caravan in Talisay City, July 1, 2025.
With the theme, “Kayang Umaksyon ng Mamamayan na Isabuhay ang Kahandaan ng Bawat Isa para maging Ligtas sa Oras ng Sakuna (KUMILOS),” this year’s NDR Month celebration highlights the importance of preparedness and community resilience against natural and man-made hazards.
The CHMSU delegation was led by Director for DRRM Rino del Castillo with unit staff Michael Jason Somodio and Gina Dedoyco.
Also joining the caravan were the DRRM Office of the City of Talisay, the Philippine National Police Talisay City Station, Bureau of Fire Talisay City Station, Department of Public Works and Highways Negros Occidental 1st District Engineering Office, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and Nature’s Village Resort.
