Carlos Hilado Memorial State University reached another international milestone as a faculty member of the College of Education won Best Paper in the 1st Asia Pacific Conference on Engineering, Education, Social Science and Humanities (APCEESH) held at Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, in Thailand, last December 15-16, 2025.
Prof. Ronora Malaga won Best Paper for her research titled “The Diaspora of Filipino Teachers Leaving their Home Country for Work in the United States.”

Meanwhile, Prof. Wanny Jaron also presented her paper on “Faculty Engagement in Community Extension Programs: Examining Personal Factors, Institutional Support, and Stakeholder Collaboration in a State University.”
The first APCEESH was organized by Shinawatra University (SIU) of Thailand, KLS Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology (KLS DBIT) of India, and the Confworld Educational Research and Development Association.

The Asia Pacific Conference on Engineering, Education, and Social Science and Humanities (APCEESH) is a multidisciplinary academic event focused on themes including sustainable development and interdisciplinary research.
The conference also served as a platform for sharing research, networking, and exploring solutions for global challenges, often with opportunities for publication in indexed journals.
