College of Education launches 3Cs project with ‘Kamustahan’; signs agreement with Talisay CSWDO

The 3Cs: The Child Care Connect project, part of the Extension and Community Service Program, launched its “Kamustahan” program with the 47 Child Development Workers (CDWs) from Talisay City on September 25, 2024, at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University Gymnasium. 

Gathering 114 participants, this initiative is led by faculty and students from the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education of the College of Education.

The program aims to improve CDWs’ skills to create supportive environments for children’s growth.

The launch featured a lively performance by fourth-year students, followed by remarks from College Dean Ophelia Duayan while Rolando Jr. Peralta outlined the upcoming training sessions.

Also joining the event were Vice President for Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property Andrew Eusebio Tan, and Talisay City Social Welfare and Development Officer Dionela Flores-Madona.

Social Worker II Leonard Aguiman of Talisay CSWDO joined the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with VP Tan, Dean Duayan, and CSWD Officer Flores-Madona.
