The Department of Health Western Visayas, in collaboration with the Bacolod City LGU and City Health Office, and the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, held the PinasLakas Vaccination at the CHMSU Alijis Campus on August 18, 2022. The University’s administrators, faculty, staff, and students, as well as eligible individuals of the public, were given primary and booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
A brief program and ceremonial vaccination were also conducted along with the roll-out. CHMSU Alijis Campus Executive Director Edwin Bugna, PhD, Vice President for Administration and Finance Rosalinda S. Tuvilla, JD, and Center for External Affairs Director Rhoderick K. Samonte represented the University. The event was also graced with the presence of Congressman Greg G. Gasataya, Secretary to the Mayor of Bacolod City Atty. Karol Joseph Chiu, DOH Western Visayas Regional Director Dr. Adriano P. Suba-an, DOH Central Office CAO Engr. David P. Masiado, Jr., and Bacolod City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Carmela P. Gensoli.
