GAD hosts breast cancer awareness symposium, medical mission

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the CHMSU Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in collaboration with Bacolod Kadughan Foundation for Breast Care, Inc., organized a Medical Mission on Breast Cancer and Other Medical Cases on March 18, 2025, at the Function Hall, Talisay Campus.

The event featured an inspirational message from Kadughan Foundation President Dr. Carmencita Sarrosa, followed by an informative discussion led by Dr. Andrea Joane Torre, who provided participants with essential knowledge on breast cancer prevention and early detection. Students and employees also learned how to perform breast self-examinations and adopt healthier lifestyle habits for overall well-being.

Leading the GAD team was Director Elvie Samson, along with Talisay Coordinator Ana Mary Ann Pancho, Alijis Coordinator Methusela Daba-ay, Binalbagan Coordinator Rose Regala, and Fortune Towne Coordinator Ann Charyl Gallo.

The program was hosted by Director for Cultural Affairs Maria Rowena Tuscano, ensuring an engaging and informative session for all attendees.
