The community of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) participated in the solemn celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina with a Pontifical Mass held on September 23 at 12:00 noon.
The special liturgical celebration was held at Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish – Grotto of St. Padre Pio, located in Brgy. Singcang-Airport Subdivision, Bacolod City. Most Rev. Patricio Buzon, Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod, served as the main celebrant for this significant religious observance.

Staff members from CHMSU’s Talisay and Fortune Towne campuses attended the mass in reverent commemoration of Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, one of the most beloved saints in modern Catholic history known for his deep spirituality, mystical experiences, and dedication to serving the poor and sick.
The Pontifical Mass provided an opportunity for the CHMSU community to join in prayer and reflection, strengthening the university’s connection to its Catholic educational mission and values.
