In anticipation for the upcoming Feast of St. Padre Pio on September 23, the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University community sponsored the novena mass at the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish – Grotto of St. Padre Pio in Brgy. Singcang-Airport Subdivision, Bacolod City, early evening of September 17, 2025.

Faculty, staff, and students from the Alijis, Fortune Towne, and Talisay Campuses joined the university-sponsored mass which part of the nine days of prayer and thanksgiving opportunities for the faithful to deepen their trust in God’s mercy, seek healing, and strengthen, their hope through the intercession of Padre Pio.
Rev. Fr. Michael Juan Alfredo Ma. Cuenca led the Eucharistic celebration with the CHMSUans and devotees. The sponsored mass was facilitated by the Center for Internationalization and External Relations.
