As the Academic Year 2024-2025 begins, the Vice President for Academic Affairs warmly welcomed the faculty during the Institutional Faculty General Assembly held on August 30, 2024, at the Multi-Purpose Gym, Talisay (Main) Campus.
In his address, President Norberto Mangulabnan celebrated the significant milestones achieved by CHMSU, including AACCUP accreditation, the successful conversion to university status, the ongoing digitalization of systems and operations, and the steps taken towards internationalization.
The Vice President for Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property, Andrew Eusebio Tan, presented a comprehensive overview of the research outputs and extension activities across all colleges and faculties for the entire academic year. Following this, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Rosalinda Tuvilla, highlighted key accomplishments in the areas of administration and finance. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Jay Estrellas, then showcased the achievements of various colleges, particularly those with notable board exam results, as well as the recognitions earned by faculty and students during the Academic Year 2023-2024.
Engr. Michael Fortun, PME Director, discussed the upcoming challenges related to SUC Leveling for the new academic year. Quality Management Director, Yrika Marie Dusaran, followed with a presentation on the national and international recognitions received by CHMSU, setting ambitious targets for further internationalization.
The assembly concluded with an open forum, providing faculty members with an opportunity to voice their concerns and engage in meaningful discussions.
In her closing remarks, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ma. Riza Manalo, reflected on CHMSU’s progress and achievements while emphasizing the ongoing pursuit of excellence and the importance of continuous improvement.
