Nat’l Women’s Month symposium tackles social differences in education

Peace Advocates, in collaboration with CHMSUnata, DOST-SEI Scholars Association, ECE Guild, Psychological Society, SPED Society, Sports Club, Vox Populi, and Young Restaurant and Hotel Entrepreneurs Association (YRHEA), held a National Women’s Month symposium on March 24, 2025, in the Audio-Visual Room, Talisay Campus.

The symposium, themed “Babae Sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” began in the morning with opening remarks from College of Arts and Sciences Psychological Society Adviser Carina Christine Gonzales.

Resource speaker Abegail Escaño, Guidance Counselor at the Office of the Guidance Services, presented “Overcoming Social Differences in the School Setting.”

Her talk covered social differences according to status, social differences in school, nurturing empathy and understanding, and conflict resolution.

The event concluded after Escaño responded to questions from students representing various academic programs.
