NORSU networks with CHMSU on research, extension, innovation

Negros Oriental State University’s (NORSU) Research, Development, and Extension units visited Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) for the Negros Island Region (NIR) Networking on January 30, 2025, at the Research, Extension, and Innovation Hub, Talisay (Main) Campus.

The NORSU delegation was welcomed by CHMSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property Andrew Eusebio Tan, along with Director for Research and Development Services Ricky Acanto, Director for Extension and Community Services, and Director for Intellectual Property Management Armando Reosura.

Leading the NORSU delegation was Vice President for RDE Edwin Romano, Jr., accompanied by officers Jonathan Malongo and Maria Dolores Paculanang, Professor Geraldine Quiñones, and staff members Maria Veronica Flordeliza and Maria Verona Villamor.

Meanwhile, CHMSU President Norberto Mangulabnan warmly welcomed the delegates during their courtesy visit before the networking.

As one of the key stops in NORSU’s Negros Occidental-wide university networking tour, CHMSU played a crucial role in fostering institutional partnerships, sharing innovative practices, and exploring collaborative opportunities to enhance academic and community engagement programs.

This initiative also provided a valuable platform for CHMSU to showcase its accomplishments and initiatives, engage with peers, and contribute to the collective development of higher education in the region.
