Pres. Mangulabnan joins Global Education Conclave 2025 in India, inks pact for collaboration with Chandigarh Group of Colleges

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University expands its internationalization horizons as new connections and partnerships arose from the recent participation of President Norberto Mangulabnan in the Global Education Conclave 2025 in Jhanjeri, Mohali in India, March 29-31, 2025.

Themed “Leading with Purpose: Global Collaborations for a Sustainable, Inclusive, and Technologically Advanced Future,” the conference aimed to unite institutions and thought leaders from across the globe to discuss strategies for impactful collaborations in research, innovation, and sustainable development.

The gathering is organized by the Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) in collaboration with the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which are accrediting and ranking institutions in India.

Pres. Mangulabnan was also one of the panelists on the topic “The Role of Universities in Promoting Empathy, Women Empowerment, and Social Engagement.”

The president was accompanied by University Secretary Mary Leanne Laganhon throughout the three-day affair.

The president also signed the Memorandum of Agreement with CGC Managing Director Arshdeep Dhaliwal further solidifying CHMSU’s partnership with the global collective.

Through the agreement, CHMSU and CGC established a framework for cooperation to enhance academic, cultural, and research collaboration.

Among the opportunities both parties will explore are student exchange programs, including short-term and long-term mobility such as study abroad, summer schools, and articulation agreements.

This also includes the facilitation of student progression into Masters programs at either institution.

Through the partnership, the parties will also look into faculty and staff exchange to promote academic and professional development.

Collaborative research projects, joint publications, academic conferences, as well as cultural exchange activities to foster mutual understanding and respect are also included in the agreement.

This partnership will also be an opportunity to exchange academic materials, publications, and information.
