Social Science Students Showcase Community Impact Through “Lakad Komunidad” Exhibit

Bachelor of Arts in Social Science third-year students are currently presenting “Lakad Komunidad: Igniting Change Across Communities Through Service Learning,” a three-day exhibit showcasing their community-based projects and research initiatives running through January 15, 2026, at the Dining Hall, First Floor, Engineering and Technology Green Building (ETGB), Talisay Campus.

The Lakad Komunidad Exhibit serves as a culminating event that highlights the applied outputs of the program’s third-year students. Each student will present individually executed projects in the forms of workshops and community-engaged activities, demonstrating their ability to translate theoretical learning into practical, meaningful interventions.

The exhibit features research-based community initiatives, social development projects, and field outputs that reflect the students’ commitment to addressing real-world social issues. Through their work, students have engaged with various communities, applying classroom knowledge to create tangible positive change.

The three-day showcase, which began yesterday, continues through tomorrow, offering multiple opportunities for visitors to engage with the student presenters and their impactful projects.

The event is open to faculty, students, community partners, and the general public through tomorrow. Attendees are encouraged to visit the ongoing exhibit to engage with the student presenters and learn about the various approaches to community development and social change being implemented.
