Talisay Campus held Intramurals Fest 2022 on December 5-7 with the theme “Propelling Potentials in Sports and Arts Amidst the Pandemic.” Although the school conducted virtual and hybrid activities in 2020 and 2021, this was the first full, in-person Intramurals after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Being one of the most anticipated activities every year, students welcomed the intramurals with excitement and energy. Four units, namely Blue Alphas, Red Cheetahs, Green Griffins and Orange Tigers, participated in various events organized by the Office for Student Affairs and Services, Culture and the Arts Office, Sports Affairs, and University Student Government. Cultural events included competitions such as Essay Writing, Verse Choir, Folk Dance, and Pencil Rendering, while some sports events were Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics, Sepak Takraw, and Swimming. E-sports were also held during the activity.
One highlight among the cultural events was the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals. Sixteen candidates showcased talent, wit, and poise as they competed for the top spot. Izhekiel Larida and Ednalyn Garcia, both from Blue Alphas, were crowned Mr. and Ms. Intramurals respectively. For the Cheer-dance Competition under sports events, the Blue Alphas also won first place.
After three days of competitions, the Blue Alphas came out as the Overall Champion for both cultural and sports events.
The activity closed with the Victory Fest which featured live band and DJ performances at the Multi-purpose Gym.
