Talisay (Main) Campus marks Ash Wednesday observance

The Talisay (Main) Campus community gathered on February 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Gym to solemnly observe Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Renier Alviola, OAR, and included the imposition of ashes, a traditional rite symbolizing repentance and reflection.

During the liturgy, the campus community was reminded of the call to humility, spiritual renewal, and conversion as they begin their Lenten journey together. The observance provided an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to pause from their daily routines and reflect on the deeper meaning of the season.

Ash Wednesday serves as a significant moment in the Christian calendar, inviting the faithful to embrace prayer, fasting, and acts of charity in preparation for Easter.
