Two COED faculty present in 1st APCEESH in Thailand; Prof. Malaga clinches best paper

CHMSU reached another international milestone as two faculty members of the College of Education presented in the 1st Asia Pacific Conference on Engineering, Education, Social Science and Humanities (APCEESH) held at Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, in Thailand last December 15-16, 2025.

Prof. Ronora Malaga won Best Paper for her research titled “The Diaspora of Filipino Teachers Leaving their Home Country for Work in the United States.”

Meanwhile, Prof. Wanny Jaron presented her paper on “Faculty Engagement in Community Extension Programs: Examining Personal Factors, Institutional Support, and Stakeholder Collaboration in a State University.”

The first APCEESH was organized by Shinawatra University (SIU) of Thailand, KLS Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology (KLS DBIT) of India, and the Confworld Educational Research and Development Association.

The Asia Pacific Conference on Engineering, Education, and Social Science, and Humanities (APCEESH) is a multidisciplinary academic event focused on themes including sustainable development and interdisciplinary research.

The conference also served as a platform for sharing research, networking, and exploring solutions for global challenges, often with opportunities for publication in indexed journals.
