Students and employees at the Talisay Campus underwent the mandatory fire and earthquake drill on April 30, 2025.
The drill and lecture was organized by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office led by Director Rino del Castillo in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Talisay City Fire Station, the Disaster Emergency Assistance and Rescue Services (DEARS), National Service Training Program (NSTP), Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), and Red Cross Youth CHMSU Talisay Chapter.
The drill also included a lecture, demonstration, and simulation with FO1 Kyrle Patrick Gilo of BFP.
VP for Academic Affairs Jay Estrellas, along with NSTP Director and ROTC Head Esther Leah Macatimpag, in their messages reminded students, faculty, and staff to bear in mind the safety measures taught during the lecture and simulation.
They added that the information shared will be vital during times of emergency.
