CHMSU Top 7 LEPT performing school; BSED Science alumna ranks 4th

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University is once again among the top-performing schools in the country, as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers for March 2025.

The CHMSU Talisay Campus ranked 7th in the Top Performing Schools (Secondary Level) after garnering an average of 91.74% overall passing rate.

A total of 200 examinees out of 218 takers from the campus passed the LEPT. CHMSU Talisay Campus’ feat falls under the top performing schools with 100-299 examinees with at least a 90% passing rate.

Ma. Carmela Delada, a graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science program at the Talisay Campus, also ranked fourth in the secondary level of the LEPT.

“My success is 50% effort and 50% faith in God,” shared Ma. Carmela Delada, as she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support of her family, friends, and mentors at CHMSU.

A cum laude graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science in 2024, Delada achieved an impressive 93.20% in the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

While staying focused on her review, she also made it a point to spend quality time with her family during special occasions, believing in the importance of balance and emotional well-being.

Now a licensed professional teacher, the LEPT topnotcher is eagerly seeking opportunities to share her passion for education and inspire young minds in the classroom.

“This is truly an honor for CHMSU to continue excelling in LEPT and producing quality graduates of our pre-service teacher education programs,” said CHMSU College of Education Dean Ophelia Duayan

In April, CHED recognized CHMSU Talisay Campus with two Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Awards for both the elementary and secondary levels pre-service teacher education programs.
