Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) is celebrating the strong performance of the College of Education in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), with 395 new Elementary and Secondary Licensed Professional Teachers added to its roster of alumni.


In the Elementary Education exam, CHMSU Talisay (Main) Campus produced 75 passers, posting an 88.24% passing rate, while the Binalbagan Campus recorded 49 passers with a 76.56% passing rate.
Both campuses performed well above the national passing rate of 51.04%.
For Secondary Education, the Talisay (Main) Campus registered 197 passers with a 91.63% passing rate. The Binalbagan Campus followed with 65 passers (76.47%), while the Alijis Campus recorded 9 passers (81.82%). The national passing rate for Secondary Education is 72.62%.


CHMSU is also honoring two standout graduates who earned top spots in the September and November 2025 LEPT.
Charlene Makilan, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, secured 9th place in the Secondary Education exam with a 93.20% rating.
Meanwhile, Mark Steven Moncada, a Bachelor of Special Needs Education graduate, ranked 10th in the Elementary Education exam with a score of 92.20%.
