Brgy. 14 fire survivors receive aid from CHMSUyanihan

Volunteer CHMSUans brought joy and compassion to the survivors of the April 21 fire at Barangay 14, Bacolod City, on the afternoon of May 4, 2026.

A total of 71 families — comprising 223 individuals — remain at the evacuation center as they work to rebuild their lives.

Using cash donations gathered during the CHMSUyanihan campaign across all campuses, the team turned over new undergarments, kitchenware, and pre-loved clothing to the Barangay 14 local government unit. The goods were received by barangay staff Rowi France Pagalilawan on behalf of Punong Barangay Karl John Magno.

Third-year BA Social Science students organized fun games and activities for the children of affected families currently sheltering at the Education and Training Center School-III (ETCS-III) in Bacolod City, bringing along snacks, games, and goodies to brighten their day.

Adding to the outpouring of support, Ang Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative donated brand-new eating utensils and kitchenware valued at ?15,000.

Madamo gid nga salamat to every generous donor who helped make this mission possible. Through your kindness, the community members can take their first steps toward rebuilding their homes and their lives.
