The CHMSU community, benefactors, and devotees gathered in faith and solemnity at the Multi-purpose Gym parking lot of CHMSU Talisay (Main) Campus for the blessing of the Grotto of St. Padre Pio.
The rites of blessing was led by Rev. Fr. Raymon Asoy, parish priest of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish and spiritual director of the Spiritual Children of St. Padre Pio in the Diocese of Bacolod.
The grotto is donated by the family of the late Carlos and Dolores Hilado. Present during the blessing were Milagros Hilado Pefianco, Josephine Hilado, Marie Victoria Fuentes, Sanito Fuentes, Robertino Santiago, Jennifer Santiago, Lee Santiago, and Stephanie Lindaya.
The Hilado Family was warmly welcomed by Pres. Norberto Mangulabnan, VPAF Jay Estrellas, VPAA Engr. Russel Dela Torre, VPREIP Ma. Riza Manalo, CIER Director Rhoderick Samonte, OSAS Director Maria Victoria Violanda, Chief Administrative Officer – Finance Division Atty. Juliet Pasustento, and RDS Director Ivy Aboy.
The blessing was also attended by the university community together with guests from the Spiritual Children of St. Padre Pio
