The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University reconnected with the City Government of La Carlota to re-established its extension program, PAGSAKDAG, marking another step in strengthening ties between the academe and the community, October 2, 2026.
The renewed collaboration reflects a shared commitment to bringing the knowledge, expertise, and resources of the academe closer to the people it serves.
Through PAGSAKDAG, CAS and the city government aim to create opportunities for meaningful engagement, capacity-building, and sustainable development.

The reconnection gathering was attended by La Carlota City Mayor Jose Luis Jalandoni together with Acting PESO Manager Leah Samson, City Accountant Jeffrey E. Rumbines, ;Executive Assistant to the Mayor Noel Gamilla, and city unit officers.
Representing the program and the college were Program Leader Yvonne Velasco; CAS Extension and Community Services Coordinator April Abrera; DAGYAW Project Leader Everlou Maquiling; and project members Nelson Soldevilla, Joyzel Rey Garcia, and Ruth Nemenzo.
As PAGSAKDAG moves forward, CAS looks forward to deepening its partnership with the City of La Carlota and working hand in hand toward extension initiatives that are responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
