Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) Alijis Campus held its Bloodletting Drive 2026 on October 6, 2026 at the Audio Visual Room (AVR), with the theme “Donate Blood. Save a Life.”
The drive was organized by the CHMSU Alijis Medical Health Services and the CHMSU Alijis Red Cross Youth Council, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Negros Occidental-Bacolod City Chapter.
Students, faculty, and staff took part in the activity, and the drive was open to all qualified donors, including members of the wider community.

The initiative aimed to help address the need for blood supply and to promote voluntary blood donation among members of the university community.
“Every blood donation can help provide lifesaving blood for patients who need it,” said Nurse Stephen Rey Real.
They noted that a simple act of generosity can make a meaningful difference to someone facing an emergency, undergoing surgery, receiving treatment, or battling a serious illness.
