The Philippines Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, Inc. (PBCFI), in collaboration with the Center for External Affairs, opened a Wildlife Photo Exhibit at the Global Learning Café, Green Building, Talisay (Main) Campus on November 3, 2022. This was organized as part of the 18th Provincial Wildlife Month Festival with the theme “Maghiliusa kag maghulag kita, para sa pagkaon kag ekonomiya, Biodiversity sang Negros amligan ta”.
The exhibit featured photos of different endemic, indigenous, and migratory birds, reptiles, and other animals found in the Philippines, especially in or near Negros Island.
Christian R. Casio, Conservation Education Officer of PBCFI, gave a brief talk entitled Philippines Biodiversity: In Pursuit within the Modern Age, in which he discussed the rich flora and fauna of the country and the specializations and services offered by PBCFI. Present during the session were students from SPED Society, GOESYM, and OSSE. The students were then given a quick walking tour of the exhibit.
The Wildlife Photo Exhibit is open until November 4, 2022.
