Campus orgs showcase advocacies at SDG Café and Expo

In line with the United Nations and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Month celebration, the Center for External Affairs, in collaboration with the Office for Student Affairs and Services, held the SDG Café and Expo at the Global Learning Café, Green Building, Talisay (Main) Campus, on November 2, 2022.

This event aimed to increase the community’s awareness of the SDGs and the initiatives of students towards achieving them. It featured different booths showcasing advocacies of the University Student Government, GOESYM, Social Science Guild, Psychological Society, SPED Society, Wordsmiths, SSPEM, Filipino Patriots, Gen Ed Dynasty, and 3Zero Club. Aside from informative displays, the organizations also had interactive activities like games and expression walls. Some booths had goods for sale such as handmade crochet items, reusable drinking straws, drinks, and finger food.

A raffle was also organized and students had to visit all the booths and complete the provided Passport to qualify. The raffle prizes were five prepaid home wi-fi units courtesy of Globe Telecom.

The event closed with the recognition of the different participating organizations and the announcement of five raffle winners namely Ysabelle Torado, Ellaine Baterbonia, Arieanne France Godinez, Jezreel Hope Claver, and Noel Compania.
