ARCH Plus visits CHMSU to present employment opportunities in Japan

Representatives of ARCH Plus Co., Ltd. paid a courtesy visit to the Center for Internationalization and External Relations (CIER) on March 18, 2026, to discuss employment opportunities in Japan for CHMSU graduates.

CIER Director Rhoderick Samonte welcomed ARCH Plus CEO Seto Yohko, who also serves as COO of Sachi Japanese International School; Yamahei Training and Assessment Center CEO Yamada Fumio; consultant Imelda Sawamura; and Gengo Kenshu Center representatives Ma. Jemina Matillano and Ailen Tibus.

Director Samonte was joined by College of Industrial Technology Dean Angelie Lopez, Alumni Relations Director Melanie Porquez, BS Civil Engineering Program Chairperson Engr. Geronemo Gotera III, Career and Placement Services Coordinator Roxanne Rivera, and BS Industrial Technology Program Chairperson Maricel Suyo.

The delegation visited CHMSU to present their services for graduates interested in pursuing employment in Japan.

CEO Seto explained that their client Japanese companies are primarily seeking skilled auto mechanics, electrical and mechanical technicians, machine operators, personal care assistants/caregivers, and drivers. In addition, there is some demand for English language teachers.

ARCH Plus, based in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is an employment placement company that partners with agencies in the Philippines to facilitate applications, interviews, and language training for Filipino workers. Accredited and recognized by the Japanese government, ARCH Plus assists Japanese companies in recruiting skilled professionals.

CEO Seto also announced that she is assuming leadership of Gengo Kenshu Center, a Japanese language school with an office at TU Center, corner BS Aquino Drive and Lacson Street, Bacolod City. She noted that both Sachi Japanese International School and Gengo Kenshu Center provide language classes to workers hired by Japanese companies, preparing them for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test before deployment.

Director Samonte emphasized that the university is committed to expanding employment opportunities for CHMSU graduates, both locally and internationally, through initiatives led by the Alumni Relations Office and Career and Placement Services.

Seto further shared that ARCH Plus is exploring the expansion of its services to include internship placements in Japanese companies in the coming year.
