The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Negros Occidental District Jail – Male Dormitory held an anti-drug symposium at the multi-purpose gym, Talisay (Main) Campus on April 1, 2023.
NSTP students attended the event in coordination with the CHMSU NSTP Office, headed by its director Elmer Gumban, PhD.
In line with the national anti-drug campaign “B.I.D.A” (Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan), the symposium tackled the different kinds of drugs and the harmful effects they bring. The BJMP also discussed sanctions imposed by the government for violators of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
