The Center for Internationalization and External Relations (CIER) of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) convened members of the Event Management Team (EMT) for a Reconnection and Team Building session on February 28, 2026, at the Dining Hall of Talisay (Main) Campus.
The initiative was designed to strengthen professional relationships, renew team synergy, and reinforce a shared commitment to excellence in delivering university programs and institutional events.
The program featured interactive team-building activities that fostered trust, effective communication, and strategic coordination among members. EMT alumni Genrick M. Catalonia and Mia Nicole R. Talangit returned to share insights and experiences from their time with the organization, offering encouragement and practical guidance to current team members.






An EMT Reorientation session was led by Ma. Faustina P. Magbanua, Information Officer I, and Stephen G. Peñafiel, former EMT Production Manager and Greening CHMSU support staff. The discussion revisited the team’s structure, operational standards, sustainability initiatives, and best practices in event planning and execution, ensuring alignment with university standards.

The program also marked the formal Introduction of the New Heads of EMT for Academic Year 2026–2027, signaling a renewed chapter of leadership committed to innovation, accountability, and service excellence.
In his closing remarks, Rhoderick K. Samonte, Director for Internationalization and External Relations, underscored the importance of unity, adaptability, and professionalism in advancing the university’s mission. He emphasized that a cohesive and well-prepared Event Management Team plays a vital role in upholding CHMSU’s standards and institutional reputation.
The Event Management Reconnection and Team Building reflects CIER’s ongoing commitment to organizational development and capacity building, ensuring that EMT remains responsive, collaborative, and equipped to deliver high-impact events for the university community.
