CHMSC Statement and Advisory on the 2-Day Transport Strike issued on March 20, 2022

Offices will remain open and work will continue in all campuses of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College during the two-day “People’s Holiday” transportation strike on March 21-22, 2022 to protest against the rising of fuel prices recently.

CHMSC expresses its solidarity with the public transportation sector in its call for relief in the midst of a pandemic which is far from over yet. However, as a public service institution we need to continue the delivery of quality education services to all our students and partners.

Service buses will be deployed for those who will have no means to go to school: bus 1 will pick-up passengers from Silay City public plaza between 7:00 – 7:30 am and bus 2 will pick-up passengers from Bacolod City public plaza between 7:00 – 7:30 am to drop-off passengers in all campuses except in Binalbagan Campus. Faculty and staff are further advised to communicate with their respective heads and supervisors as we observe the 8-hour flexible mode during the 2-day strike. Thank you.
