The College of Education at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) held its annual Pinning Ceremony on Sept. 17, 2025, at the CHMSU Talisay Gymnasium, celebrating the dedication and commitment of pre-service teachers as they prepare to enter the field of education.
The ceremony formally recognized students from 11 education programs who are ready to begin their practicum and student teaching assignments. Programs represented include Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED), Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED), Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education Industrial Arts (BTLED IA), Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education Home Economics (BTLED HE), Bachelor of Secondary Education in Science (BSED SCI), Bachelor of Secondary Education in Mathematics (BSED MATH), Bachelor of Secondary Education in Filipino (BSED FIL), Bachelor of Secondary Education in English (BSED ENG), and Teacher Certificate Program (TCP).

The ceremony featured remarks from University President Norberto P. Mangulabnan and an inspirational message from Ma. Carmel Delada, who ranked Top 4 in the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and graduated Cum Laude from the BSED Science program in 2024.
Dr. Jay Estrellas, Vice President for Academic Affairs, delivered the welcome address, while Jomeo Sumalapao, Program Chairperson for BSED Science and Math, introduced the resource speaker. Raynor Ereje, Program Chairperson for BTLED, presented the challenge to student teachers and accepted their commitment to the teaching profession.
The event also included a special tribute to student interns who demonstrated exceptional dedication during their field experiences.
