Carlos Hilado Memorial State University has launched a donation campaign to aid the families affected by the midnight fire that razed their homes and properties in Brgy. 27, Bacolod City, September 12, 2025.
In response to this tragedy, the university is calling on the compassion and generosity of its community through the CHMSUyanihan: Pagtabang sa Nasunugan initiative, which will run from September 12 to 19, 2025, aimed at extending aid to 208 affected families or 840 individuals who are now sheltered at Apolinario Mabini Elementary School.

Members of the CHMSU community, along with stakeholders and partners, are encouraged to contribute by dropping off in-kind and cash donations at any of the CHMSUyanihan booths located in the Alijis, Binalbagan, Fortune Towne, and Talisay campuses.
Items most needed include toiletries and hygiene products, household essentials, non-perishable food, and clean drinking water.
Cash donations may be sent via the FCUSG GCash account at 0938-658-0015 or deposited directly to Caritas Bacolod’s Queenbank account number 002–2-00155-5. Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference.
The CHMSUyanihan: Pagtabang sa Nasunugan is led by the Center for Internationalization and External Relations in partnership with Caritas Bacolod Social Action Foundation, Inc., the Office for Student Affairs and Services, and the Federation of CHMSU University Student Government.
