The College of Industrial Technology (CIT) successfully concluded its community extension program, “Catalyzing Community Empowerment: A Pathway to National Certification,” on May 30, 2026, at the Brgy. Matab-ang People’s Hall in Talisay City.
The culminating activity marked the completion of CIT’s Adopt-a-Community Program, which provided skills and livelihood training to residents of Brgy. Matab-ang. The initiative aimed to equip community members with industry-relevant competencies leading toward national certification.

The event was led by Program Leader Jonah Tarrosa and Director for Extension and Community Services Wanny Jaron.
The CHMSU delegation extended their sincere gratitude to Councilor Engr. Emmanuel Ebro and Punong Barangay Manuel Apellido Jr., both of whom graced the occasion with their presence.
Participants who successfully completed all workshops and training sessions were awarded certificates of completion, recognizing their commitment and achievement throughout the program.
The extension program was organized under the Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Culinary Technology program, spearheaded by Program Leader Tarrosa and supported by faculty Rachel Badiana, Leonila Dela Cruz, Jo-an Juesna, and Ida Pabiania.
