Two CHMSU faculty members harvested awards during the 2025 State Universities and Colleges Teacher Educators Association, Inc. (SUCTEA) National Conference and Research Presentation held last September 22-24 at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.
Prof. Jomeo Sumalapao, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Math and Science Program Chairperson, won first place in Research Presentation (Strand B: Innovative Pedagogies for 21st Century Teaching and Learning category.
Meanwhile, Prof. Joy Picar, BS Applied Math Program Chairperson, secured third place in Research Presentation in the Strand D: Policy, Leadership, and Governance in Teacher Education category.




Also joining the conference were Prof. Joji Linaugo, Prof. Raynor Ereje, Prof. Leizl May Tortogo, Prof. Ma. Rosa Caraballe, Prof. Ma. Luna Mabasa, Prof. Eduard John Advincula.
With the theme “Future-Proofing Teacher Education in the 21st Century,” the three-day conference highlighted the dynamic efforts and ingenuity of Higher Education Institutions, instructors, and professors in improving teacher education in the Philippines.
