The College of Fisheries (COF) held PAYAO 2026, a send-off ceremony for takers of the October 2026 Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination (FPLE), on September 28, 2026, the Covered Court, CHMSU Binalbagan Campus.
The event carried the theme “Anchored in Preparation, Guided by Aspiration, Bound for Achievement.” PAYAO is an acronym for Preparation, Aspiration, Yield, Achievement, and Opportunity.

The program was designed to give the examinees encouragement and support as they approach the licensure examination.
COF Dean Imee Perante welcomed the CHMSU BS Fisheries alumni who will take the FPLE in October 1-2. She encouraged think of the exam as the culmination of all their preparations from school to reviewing.
Administrative Officer Meo Mallorca, who served as review master, then formally presented the FPLE candidates, while Rev. Alexander Nuñez gave the benediction to the takers.
The examinees also listened to an inspirational message from alumna Angela Grace Singson, a 2019 FPLE passer, who drew from her own experience of passing the examination. Rosebella Malo, a retired COF faculty, also shared her words of wisdom to further boost the morale of the takers.
The COF students then presented a video tribute to the takers chronicling their journey as FPLE examinees.
BSFi Program Chairperson Kervin Mahinay delivered the closing remarks to conclude the program. Guests, faculty, and examinees then gathered for fellowship and light refreshments.
