Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) held the much-anticipated awarding ceremony of the PRIME_CHMSU Fiesta 2026 on May 14, 2026, at the Research, Innovation, and Extension (RIE) Hub.
The weeklong series of tilts, demonstrations, pitches, and exhibits was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property supported by the Research and Development Services, Extension and Community Services Office, and the Intellectual Property Management Office.
The PRIME-CHMSU 2025 awarding ceremony recognized the outstanding achievements of faculty members, researchers, and students across multiple categories in research, extension service, and innovation.
The awards showcased the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community engagement, with awardees drawn from all campuses and colleges of the institution.
The celebration underscored CHMSU’s vision of becoming a leading GREEN institution of higher learning in the global community by 2030. PRIME means “Pursuits in Research, Innovations, and Meaningful Extension.”
Leading the awarding ceremony were Director for Research and Development Ivy Aboy, Director for Extension and Community Services Wanny Jaron, and Director for Intellectual Property Management Armando Reosura. The organizing units are guided under the leadership of VPREIP Ma. Riza Manalo.
