The impact assessment results of two completed extension programs from the College of Education and College of Engineering were presented to stakeholders October 1, 2026, at the BOR Conference Room, Talisay (Main) Campus.
The impact assessment results of COE Cares: Mentoring the Mentor program of the College of Education and Bottle-Net Life Jacket program of the College of Engineering were presented to community partners and assessors from Negros Oriental State University–Director Guilbert Nicanor Atillo of the University Extension and Community Services and Prof. Dindo Dela Peña.
The presentation was facilitated by the Extension and Community Services led by Director Wanny Jaron.

COE Cares Program Leader Prof. Vanessa Joy Judith and Bottle-Net Life Jacket Program Leader Engr. Rey Ramos presented the impact of the completed extension programs together with the co-implementing faculty and staff.
COE Cares: Mentoring the Mentor is a teacher’s capability enhancement program for the faculty of Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School, Inocencio V. Ferrer Memorial School of Fisheries, Talisay Elementary School, and Efegenio Lizares National High School in Talisay City.
Meanwhile, the Bottle-Net Life Jacket program, which produced an innovative, low-cost personal flotation device made from upcycled plastic bottles, was implemented across Talisay City coastal barangays Zone 3, Zone 11, Zone 12, Zone 14, Zone 14-A, Zone 14-B, and Zone 15.

University President Norberto Mangulabnan congratulated the program implementors for their impact in the partner community and urged the colleges to continue working on collaborative extension programs with partner LGUs, communities, and institutions.
Also present in the activity were OIC-VP for Academic Affairs Arjay Alvarado, Asst. VPAA Noralyn Esona, College of Education Dean Ophelia Duayan, barangay LGU partners, office directors, extension coordinators, and faculty.
