PRIME_CHMSU Fiesta 2025 opens

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University celebrated the opening of PRIME_CHMSU Fiesta 2025 with several milestones this morning at the Function Hall, Talisay Campus, morning of December 10, 2025.

Led by Vice President for Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property Ma. Riza Manalo, the university marked the launching of the CHMSU Research Ethics Committee. The committee’s mandates, objectives, and members were introduced by Deputy Director for Ethics Review and Outsourcing Ivy Aboy, while VP Manalo administered the oath of office to its regular and alternate members.

Meanwhile, Research Coordinator John Gerald Pilar of the College of Business Management and Accountancy spearheaded the re-launching of the Center for Sustainable Small and Medium Enterprises. Similarly, College of Arts and Sciences Research Coordinator Jansen Tumabing led the re-launching of the Public Governance Research Center.

In addition, Deputy Director for Scientific Publication El Jireh Bibangco introduced the rebranded Research, Extension, and Intellectual Property (REIP) Facebook Page.

Themed “Bridging Knowledge and Innovation for Sustainable and Empowered Communities,” the opening program gathered university officials, directors, deans, and coordinators from across all campuses, including Extension and Community Services Director Roger Ray Manzano and Director for Intellectual Property Management Armando Reosura.

VP Manalo and Vice President for Academic Affairs Jay Estrellas welcomed the community to the opening ceremony.

Finally, CBMA Dean Marissa Quezon capped off the ceremony by delivering an inspiring message from University President Norberto Mangulabnan.
