As part of CHMSU’s commitment to gender-responsiveness and inclusivity, the Binalbagan Campus inaugurated the Childminding and Breastfeeding Area on May 12, 2026, as part of the 4th University Foundation Week festivities.
The blessing was led by Rev. Fr. Jun Estoque. Present during the blessing and inauguration were Executive Director Joevelle Vergara, Binalbagan Gender and Development Coordinator Rose Regala, faculty, staff, and students.
The new facility will serve as a safe space for the children of CHMSU employees and students, as well as guests and members of the university community who are breasfeeding.
Also joining the symbolic inauguration were children of CHMSU employees adding youth and joy to the activity.
