Two faculty members from the College of Computer Studies (CCS) have been selected as scholars of the BulSU HUSAY 2026 Executive Program on Artificial Intelligence for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs).
Prof. Yrika Marie Dusaran, Director of the Quality Management Office, and Prof. Norberto Mondero Jr., Team Leader of the Internal Quality Audit., were awarded fellowships in the two-week intensive training that will run from November 9 to 20, 2026, at Bulacan State University (BulSU) in the City of Malolos, Bulacan.
The program is a collaboration between BulSU and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) funded under its Higher Education Upskilling and Study for Advancement of Staff and Faculty (HUSAY) Program. BulSU serves as host institution and training provider.

The program focuses on faculty upskilling in emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and AIoT-enabled smart solutions.
It aims to prepare higher education institutions for digital transformation, engineering innovation, smart analytics, and responsible technology adoption.
The fellows will go through lectures, workshops, laboratory activities, case analyses, and project-based learning. These are designed to help them modernize curricula, strengthen institutional research capabilities, supervise technology-driven student projects, and lead programs that respond to the demands of higher education.
The initiative also aims to build a core group of trained faculty experts and regional champions across Philippine institutions.
The University extends its warm congratulations to both scholars as they represent the University in this national training program.
