CHMSU community observes Ash Wednesday

The Alijis, Fortune Towne, and Talisay campuses simultaneously held an Ash Wednesday Mass on February 14, 2024. This marked the beginning of the 40-day Lenten season, a time for reflection and spiritual preparation.

During the Masses, faculty, staff, and students received ashes on their foreheads, symbolizing humility and the transient nature of life with the reminder, “Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” This ritual served as a tangible reminder of our mortality and the need for spiritual renewal.

The Ash Wednesday Masses provided a moment for the community to come together in prayer and contemplation, reaffirming their commitment to spiritual growth and collective reflection during the Lenten journey.
