Their participation underscores CHMSU’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with local government units, national agencies, and partner organizations in advancing environmental protection and the sustainable management of Negros Occidental’s natural resources.

The two-day summit brought together City and Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officers (ENROs), inter-LGU alliances, national government agencies and partner organizations.

The gathering centered on inter-LGU cooperation, biodiversity conservation, environmental governance and environmental law enforcement.

Resource persons from the Provincial Accounting Office, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) led sessions on financial management, the institutionalization of inter-LGU alliances, biodiversity and wildlife conservation, and environmental law enforcement policies.

Meanwhile, representatives of existing inter-LGU alliances also shared updates on their programs, accomplishments, challenges and priority directions.

The summit gave ENROs and partner institutions a venue to exchange experiences, discuss shared environmental concerns and strengthen coordination across sectors.
